The Embassy of Finland in cooperation with local distributor Komtel, held an event to promote Fiskars, the Finnish leading global supplier of consumer products for the home, garden, and outdoors.
The November evening was warm enough for the event to be held partly outside in the garden of the Ambassador’s residence in Pristina. Despite the already quite dark autumn evening, guests could see closely the excellent quality and functional design of the Fiskars axes, shovels, lawn mowers and other gardening tools on show. There was also a small demonstration of some of the products being used.
Ambassador Pia Stjernvall held a speech thanking guests and encouraging them to learn about the Fiskars tools presented. She praised the durability of Fiskars products and said how her orange Fiskars scissors used to belong to her mother and before that to her grandmother, a true testament of durability and timeless design.
According to the Komtel representatives, Kosovars have also found Fiskars tools to be of excellent quality. Kosovo business’ owners, politicians and international community representatives present at the event, showed interest in the products requiring information on the Fiskars’ selling locations. The products are available in stores throughout Kosovo, distributed by Komtel, as well as online at www.gjirafamall.com.
Fiskars was founded in the village of Fiskars in southern Finland in 1649 making it one of the oldest companies in Europe. In Finland Fiskars is known for its distinctive design and durable products. Fiskars has sold more than one billion pairs of its most classic product, the orange handled scissors.
